Zum 5. Geburtstag des AV-Portals stellen sich einige Kooperationspartner und Herausgeber wissenschaftlicher Videos vor.

Manfred Eigen (1927 – 2019)
Am 6. Februar verstarb der Chemie-Nobelpreisträger Manfred Eigen im Alter von 91 Jahren. Er begründete gleich zwei große wissenschaftliche Schulen, war ein begabter Musiker und begeisterter Skifahrer.

Ein Dorf in Mexiko und die Heilige Woche, ein Autounfall mit Fahrerflucht und ein Tequila trinkender Polizeichef und mittendrin ein Filmteam aus Göttingen. Sechs Aktenordner und viele Meter Filmmaterial erzählen die abenteuerliche Geschichte einer Mexikoexpedition vor 30 Jahren, und mit der „Bergung“ eines Ethnologischen Filmschatzes den vorläufigen Ausgang der Geschichte im Jahre 2018. Ein Beitrag zum Welttag des audiovisuellen Erbes 2018.

A village in Mexico and Holy Week, a hit-and-run car accident, and a tequila-drinking police chief – and a film team from Göttingen at the heart of it all. Six binder files and reels and reels of film material tell the adventure of an expedition to Mexico 30 years ago. With the “unearthing” of an ethnological film treasure, the preliminary end of the tale can be told in 2018. A contribution to the 2018 World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.
