The S+T+ARTS Cross-Fertilization Programme was a catalyst for innovation and business growth, empowering projects that merged science, technology, and the arts. Dedicated to helping three selected innovative ventures to develop their businesses, the programme facilitated a series of group and individual mentoring and training sessions focused on essential topics such as business models, marketing strategies, pitching, and public funding.

Das „S+T+ARTS Cross-Fertilization“-Programm war ein Katalysator für Innovation und Unternehmenswachstum und förderte Projekte, die Wissenschaft, Technologie und Kunst miteinander verbinden. Das Programm unterstützte drei ausgewählte innovative Projekte bei der Entwicklung ihrer Unternehmen und bot eine Reihe von Gruppen- und Einzelberatungen sowie Schulungen zu wichtigen Themen wie Geschäftsmodelle, Marketingstrategien, Pitching und öffentliche Finanzierung.

The International Day of Mathematics on March 14th this year goes by the motto “Playing with Maths”. On this occasion, we look at researchers in algebraic geometry “playing together”, already since 2008: In the Stacks Project, they have over the years compiled an extensive open source reference work on algebraic stacks.

#10JahreTIB_AVPortal – das ist für uns ein idealer Anlass, auf intensive und lebendige 10 Jahre zurückzublicken. Ab sofort und ganz besonders im Jubiläumsmonat April wollen wir das TIB AV-Portal mit einer Vielzahl von Aktivitäten und Aktionen gemeinsam (!) feiern. Das ist natürlich sicht- und erlebbar im Portal selbst, als „Informationshub“ hier im TIB-Blog und weit darüber hinaus.

#10YearsTIB_AVPortal – this is an ideal occasion for us to look back on an intensive and lively 10 years. From now on, and especially in the anniversary month of April, we want to celebrate the TIB AV-Portal together (!) with a variety of activities and campaigns. This can of course be seen and experienced in the portal itself, as an “information hub” here in the TIB-Blog and far beyond.

Die Forschung wird heutzutage zunehmend durch Computer vorangetrieben. In vielen Forschungsbereichen werden Codes, Software sowie computergestützte Werkzeuge entwickelt und deren Ergebnisse in fast allen Disziplinen integriert, um die Effizienz, Präzision und Innovation der Forschung zu intensivieren und optimieren. Die vielschichtige Bedeutung von Software zeigt sich am deutlichsten in ihrer transformativen Rolle in den Bereichen Datenanalyse, Simulation und kollaborative Forschung.

As the H2020 MediaFutures project recently ended, Alexandra Garatzogianni, Coordinator of the MediaFutures Project and her Project Management Deputy, Michael Fribus, are happy to share some of the final results and accomplishments of the project throughout its duration of three years. In MediaFutures, one of the main goals of the exploitation and sustainability work package was to establish a Business & Operational Model for the MediaFutures Project.
